Information Collection and Use
Information Collection
Cremin Concierge Services is the sole owner of the
information collected on the CreminConcierge.com
Web site. We will not share, rent, or sell this
information to others in ways different from what
is disclosed in this Policy.
The Cremin Concierge Services Web site has two major
sections.
1)
The “public” section is for visitors to
the Cremin Concierge site who may be interested
in finding out about the company and the services
offered No personally identifiable information is
collected from visitors unless they submit a inquiry
form. Information on the Inquiry form is used to
respond to the visitor requesting the information.
2)
The “private” section is for clients of
Cremin Concierge Services who have registered.
In order for Cremin Concierge to provide services
to Members, additional information is collected
via the online Registration and Order forms (see
below) and the online request forms.
Cremin Concierge Services collects information from
our Members at several different points on our Web
site. In addition, when a Member registers, the
information collected on the site may be supplemented
with information collected off-line. Information
collected may be used to facilitate personalized
service delivery for the Member (see “Supplementation of Information,” below).
Registration
In order to use this Web site to order services
from Cremin Concierge, a Member must first complete
the registration form. During registration a Member
is required to give contact information (such as
name and email address). We use this information
to deliver our concierge services and to contact
the Member about services on our site for which
s/he has placed a request. It is not optional for
the Member to provide contact information (name,
address, phone number, and email address) and unique
identifiers (such as username and password) since
the information is necessary for the performance
of our services and to protect the Member’s privacy.
It is optional for the Member to provide demographic
information (such as interests, birth dates, and
gender), but it is encouraged so that we can provide
more personalized services.
Order
We request information from the Member on our request
forms. A Member must provide contact information
(such as name, email, and mailing address) and financial
information (such as credit card number, expiration
date) either here or in their registration. This
information is used for billing purposes and to
fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing
an order, the information is used to contact the
Member.
Information Use
Profile
We store information that we collect through cookies,
log files, and registration/order forms to create
a profile of our Members. A profile is stored information
that we keep on individual Members detailing their
service delivery requirements and preferences.
Consequently, collected information is tied to the
Member’s personally identifiable information to
provide services and improve the content of the
site for the Member. This profile is used to tailor
a Member’s visit to our Web site, to provide concierge
services, and to direct pertinent marketing promotions
to them. We share portions of your profile with
other third parties in order to facilitate delivery
of our concierge services. In order to deliver
the services, your profile is shared together with
your personally identifiable information.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s
computer tied to information about the user. We
use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies.
Session ID cookies terminate once the browser closes.
A persistent cookie is a small text file stored
on the user’s hard drive for an extended period
of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following
Internet browser help file directions. For more
information about cookies, see “The Unofficial Cookie
FAQ” (http://www.cookiecentral.com/faq/).
By allowing the setting of a session cookie Cremin
Members would not have to log in a password more
than once per session as a convenience to our customers.
If visitors reject the cookie, they may still use
the public areas of our site. Persistent cookies
enable us to track and target the interests of our
users to personalize their experience on our site.
See the “Profile” section.
Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers, we use log
files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses,
browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit
pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number
of clicks to analyze trends and site usability,
detect intrusions, administer the site, track user’s
movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic
information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc.
are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Communications from the Site
Welcome and Special Offers
We send all new Members a welcoming email to verify
password and username. Established Members may
occasionally receive information on products, services,
special offers, and a newsletter. Out of respect
for the privacy of our Members we present the option
to not receive these types of communications. Please
see the “Choice and Opt-out” section (below).
Newsletter
If a Member wishes to subscribe (opt-in) to our
newsletter, we ask for contact information such
as name and email address. Out of respect for our
Members’ privacy we provide a way to opt-out of
these communications. Please see the “Choice and
Opt-out” section (below).
Service and Site Updates
On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a
service or site-related announcement. For instance,
if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance
we may send Members an email. Generally, Members
may not opt-out of these communications, though
they can deactivate their account. However, these
communications are not promotional in nature.
Customer Service
We communicate with Members on a regular basis to
provide requested services and in regards to issues
relating to their account we reply via email, phone,
or Fax, in accordance with the individual Member’s
wishes.
Information Sharing
Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve Member privacy,
we may need to disclose personal information when
required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief
that such action is necessary to comply with a current
judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process
served on our Web site. Information may also be
inadvertently disclosed since perfect people, perfect
privacy, and perfect security do not yet exist and
probably never will.
Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
We share aggregated demographic information with
our partners in order to evaluate our site’s services
and performance and to develop additional services.
This is not linked to any personally identifiable
information.
Corporate Reporting
Where the Member is enrolled under a corporate sponsorship,
certain information may be reported to the corporate
sponsor. The purpose is to provide a measure by
which the corporate sponsor may evaluate the return
on their sponsorship.
These are the instances in which we will share
Members’ personal information:
Third Party Intermediaries and Service Providers
We do not share personally identifiable information
with other companies, apart from those acting as
our agents in providing product(s) and/or service(s)
for our Members, and which agree to use it only
for that purpose and to keep the information secure
and confidential.
Business Transitions
In the event Cremin Concierge Services goes through
a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired
by another company, or selling a portion of its
assets, personal information will, in most instances,
be part of the assets transferred. Members will
be notified via email or a prominent notice on our
Web site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership
or control of their personal information. If, as
a result of the business transition, the Members’
personally identifiable information will be used
in a manner different from that stated at the time
of collection, they will be given choice consistent
with our “Notification of Changes” section (below).
Choice and Opt-out
Our Members are given the opportunity to ‘opt-in’
for additional uses of their information for purposes
not directly related to our site at the point where
we ask for information.
Members who no longer wish to receive our newsletter
and promotional communications may opt-out of receiving
these communications by replying with “unsubscribe”
in the subject line of the email or by emailing
us at support@CreminConcierge.com. Out members may opt-in or opt-out of
our mailing lists for special offers and/or newsletters
on their personal settings page.
Users of our site are always notified when their
information is being collected by any outside parties.
We do this so our users can make an informed choice
as to whether or not they should proceed with services
that require an outside party.
Surveys
From time-to-time our site requests information
from users via surveys. Participation in these
surveys is completely voluntary, and the visitor
therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose
this information.
The requested information typically includes contact
information (such as name and email address), and
demographic information (such as zip code). Survey
information will be used for purposes of monitoring
or improving the use and satisfaction of this site,
Cremin Concierge Services, and/or the services of
our service providers (e.g. airlines, cruise lines,
etc.).
Users’ personally identifiable information is not
shared with third parties unless we give prior notice
and/or choice. Though we may use an intermediary
to conduct these surveys or contests, they may not
use users’ personally identifiable information for
any secondary purposes.
Tell-A-Friend
If a user elects to use our referral service for
informing a friend about our site, we ask them for
the friend’s name and email address. Cremin Concierge
Services will automatically send the friend a one-time
email inviting them to visit the site. Cremin Concierge
Services stores this information for the sole purposes
of sending this one-time email and tracking the
success of our referral program. The friend may
contact Cremin Concierge Services at privacy@CreminConcierge.com
to request the removal of this information from
our database.
Security
Cremin Concierge Services takes every precaution
to protect our users’ information. When users submit
sensitive information via the Web site, their information
is protected both online and off-line.
When our registration/order form asks Members to
enter sensitive information (such as credit card
number and/or social security number), that information
is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption
software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure
page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the
bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator
and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked,
as opposed to un-locked, or open, when Members are
just ‘surfing’.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive
information online, we also do everything in our
power to protect Member-information off-line. All
of our Members’ information, not just the sensitive
information mentioned above, is restricted in our
offices. Only employees who need the information
to perform a specific job (for example, a customer
service representative) are granted access to personally
identifiable information. ALL employees are kept
up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.
Any time new policies are added, our employees are
notified and/or reminded about the importance we
place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure
our Members’ information is protected. Finally,
the computers that store sensitive personally identifiable
information are in a secure environment.
If Members have any questions about the security
at our Web site, Members can send an email to privacy@CreminConcierge.com.
Supplementation of Information
In order for this Web site to properly fulfill its
obligation to Members, it is necessary for us to
supplement the information we receive with information
from the member or his/her corporate sponsor.
Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal
Information
If a Member’s personally identifiable information
changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal
address), or if a Member no longer desires our service,
we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate
Members’ personally identifiable information. This
may be done by emailing Customer Support at support@CreminConcierge.com, or
by contacting us by telephone or postal mail
at the contact information listed below, if you
prefer.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will
post those changes to this privacy statement, the
homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so
our Members and visitors are always aware of what
information we collect, how we use it, and under
what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We
will use information in accordance with the privacy
policy under which the information was collected.
If we are going to use Members’ personally identifiable
information in a manner different from that stated
at the time of collection, we will notify Members
via email. Members will have a choice as to whether
or not we use their information in this different
manner. However, if Members have opted out of all
communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated
their account, they will not be contacted, nor will
their personal information be used in this new manner.
In addition, if we make any material changes in
our privacy practices that do not affect Member
information already stored in our database, we will
post a prominent notice on our Web site notifying
Members of the change. In some cases where we post
a notice we will also email Members, who have opted
to receive communications from us, notifying them
of the changes in our privacy practices.
